The skin has reddish tones on a yellow to light-green color. The texture is firm and very crisp, having a robust spicy-sweet flavor with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon. The fruit is oval with a crown like top and medium to large in size. 'Braeburn' apples are excellent for pies, salads, sauces, baking or freezing. Harvest between late September and early October. Self fertile, bears better with a pollinizer.
