Acer rubrum ‘Karpick’

A choice shade tree for smaller yards, with a tight and narrowly upright habit of growth, becoming looser with age. 'Karpick' has fall colors of yellow and orange, with showy red flowers that line the bare branches in spring. It is intolerant of alkaline soils. 'Karpick' red maple has green foliage which emerges red in spring. It produces red samatas in late spring. The furrowed silver bark and red branches add an interest to the landscape.
